If you're willing to go a bit further, Ham Ji Bak on Lonsdale in NVan has some really good omurice.

There's a curry place beside Kintaro on Denman in downtown I'm pretty sure. I haven't been there in a while though but it was quite good.

That curry place is no longer in downtown. They're at boundary and 29th.

Aoyama has both omurice & hayashi rice but they're definitely not god.
Just make it at home, both of those dishes are easy. I haven't food any places that make it well here.

Isn't there a place on Davie right by denman?
Not sure I'd they are still there, but they did that type of food.

There are always options like Estea and some place on Kingsway by Joyce, but if it were me, I'd sick with only a purely japanned place. The one on Kingsway isn't jap run, at least not anymore. There is Japanese outside the shop and japanned on the menu, but I was served 2 girly Taiwanese guys.

+1 to making it at home. I've done it, it's not hard, especially since fried rice is made so often in my house.. I've also cooked my own oyakodon.

I've seen it at Estea in Richmond.

It's alright there. Not really authentic. Usuallly covered in some sort of sauce of your choice. I would go there for my omurice craving when Phil's wife stopped making and I had no lunch to steal.
