Lion King 3D --- Fuck you, Disney

If you saw Lion King as a child, you will probably go see it in the theatre, anyways. However, the 3D adds nothing positive to the movie. The glasses drop down the brightness a few notches, and the blur during motion sucks fucking ass. My recommendation: Get the Bluray, sit a bit closer to the TV, and turn up the volume. It'll be like you're watching it on a bigger screen, except you won't have to deal with the garbage 3D, and annoying children that can't sit still for less 5 minutes.

I was planning on seeing it tomorrow, thanks for the tip.
The Lion King, despite being a musical geared towards children is still one of my favourite movies of all time.

You shouldn't be surprised it does not have Avatar 3D effects as a post-processed 17 year old animation.

I'm not surprised, at all. 3D is a money grab. Was it even in original aspect ratio? It seemed cropped. The dim picture, and ghosting was distracting. Pay more, get less! I love Lion King. My parents still have the worn out VHS in the basement. It should have been released as a remastered non-3D presentation. Anyways, I'm just bitter when classics get messed with.

Well they had a digital version out last week if you wanted to save money. Although it may be a money grabber by disney, I really enjoyed watching it on the big screen especially since it came out before I was born. I really got to experience it with my little sister and was a overall enjoyable moment.
I thought it was worth it just for the big screen experience. Can't wait for the 4th when it comes out on the bluray.
They probably took the non-3D version out because obviously people wanted to watch it in 3D and not enough people were paying for the digital version.
