All photoshop. No layer mask. I've tried it before and its a bit tricky to get it perfect. Once you get use to the editing its not so bad.

Yea I'm down for photos. I'm usually available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. I know a bunch of locations but not sure how far some of you are willing to drive. All of them are within the lower mainland. Most of which are closer to Richmond but some are around New West, Burnaby and Vancouver. All locations require to be there at a certain time as I only know how to use natural light. I'm super horrible with flash photography.

Who's available TODAY after 5pm? Richmond. Grauer Road. It's right behind Templeton Skytrain station (I think its called Templeton) I like it there, its good and it gives me an excuse to spend the 10 dollars I have in my wallet to buy sushi afterwards on my way home.

The weather seems to be improving as the day progresses and lighting will be pretty neat around that area. 5-8ishpm. As soon as it gets dark I'm calling it a day. So that would be around 7:30ish or so. Takes a few minutes to set up the rig and a few shots until I think it looks decent. I'm willing to shoot as many cars as possible but please do not expect anything uber awesome professional photos as I'm not a pro. I just like to do this for fun. I'll try the best I can though.

We can also do another one over the weekend but not Sunday as I have to meet up with the family for Thanksgiving dinner.

I'll do your car first so its out of the way and you're free to leave whenever. Setting up takes a few minutes but the photo itself takes a few seconds. So not that long just takes some time to set everything up the way I like it.

Got home around 8:40. Unpacked and immediately got to editing the photos. Finished two so far but cannot upload as for some reason shaw internet is uber slow right now and keeps timing out.

no problem man, big thanks go to you for taking the photos! and i hated the birds -.- car got shat on within 2 mins of my arrival LOL. just washed my car too.. it happens everytime:okay: we've encountered some interesting people today LOOOL. those 3 kids were super disrespectful.. sits on my car and asks if he can be in the photo..:swear: overall, i had fun and learned a lot! i used to look at rig photos and ask myself "damn they must be going fast :damn:" but now i know they were only pushed at like 2.5km/h:fuckthatshit:

Hey Mike what's your rig setup?

A quick google suggests that you have some Avenger super clamps, Manfrotto magic arm, Manfrotto super clamps and a "custom" pipe. Close enough?! :P

I need to get a counter weight or use two-three more suction cups if I used all 20 feet of my boom. hah.
I usually use 10-15ish feet but the camera is about 8-10 feet away from the car? Maybe less? I don't have much distance due to the 18-200mm.

Sure, I'm always up for it. As long as they don't expect professional quality photos. That way everyone is happy :)
However, I highly recommend speaking with the ArtofStance guys. They take AMAZING photos. They're really good at what they do.
Maybe we'll arrange another "Rig Day" If not just give me a shout whenever.
