I am going to check this one out and just wondering if any of you may know the previous owner(s) of this octane blue GSR and any related stories
2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR (http://www.autotrader.ca/a/Mitsubishi/Lancer/RICHMOND/British%20Columbia/5_11409829_BS200511410488/)
Thanks!

it's bought from a legit dealership - just make sure you get everything checked by your OWN mechanic (BCAA if you don't know anyone particular) and should be good to go. IIRC they are BY LAW required to release any information on claims etc... (correct me if i'm wrong)

Thanks, that's cool. The guy who is parting out lots of EVO X parts?
There's a Voltex sticker on the dash and he is selling the Voltex Front Lip :hotbaby:
Would be awesome if that's the case as then I know where to buy parts at good price
i think that evo used to belong to redkryptonite

Uhm that's funny, either I saw a lot boy or a person test driving it ripping it around Richmond and bouncing off the rev limiter.

Spotted the blue evox at the hyundai dealership automall, had some bronze painted oem wheels, and noticed the half painted cf spoiler.
Said to myself: isnt this an rs member from victoria? Hahaha

lol people keep saying these cars are being "abused" it takes alot to abuse a performance car...how do you think they test them?
I remember when i was lot boy i got called to the 2012 Passat launch to do some detailing and we would watch executives rip around a mini track in the cars and boy oh boy did they rip the shit out of them, right after they did that i drove them back to the detailing area and nothing was wrong with any of them. ( except for bald tires)
all in all, EVO X is made for being abused it screams "feed me shit"

^ In agree with Soltaaa, these cars are made to take abuse, however it should be the new owner handing out the abuse if he/she chooses. I think it's disrespectful to the customer to treat his/her future car this way.

Thanks guys for all the inputs. I must say I didn't expect this
much first hand stories and who-knows-who.
I guess if I end up buying this car I better not do any thing silly with it, as there are many watchful eyes :grin-FU:
I don't know redkryptonite but looking at all the photos when he owned it and all the high end parts he is selling, I must say this EVO was one lucky car! I wouldn't think twice if buying directly from him.
However, I can only imagine the life of this EVO turn upside down when he sold it, and that would be my reservation.
I totally agree it's meant to be "abused" and driven hard, and can take all of them if it's taken care of properly. But when someone works at the dealer says not to buy that car, I guess that's the end of the story :(

yup, that was my old car.
it was super taken car of when i had it. not sure what ppl been doing with it on test drives but like others have said, a couple hard drives isnt gonna hurt a evo.
a few extras the car comes with:
- seibon cf sss wing painted oem style
- hid
- compustar 2way alarm with auto-start and turbo timmer

No car is "designed" to be abused, that being said there's pushing the car and abusing the car.
That's like me saying I can take my runner on an fsr and push the piss out of it and say that it should be able to handle the abuse.

Any car u buy at a dealership is abused, even brand new, so u cant avoid it
Worked at a dealership before so yea, unless u drive it off the ship yourself

Not to get too far off topic here, but you cant honestly tell me that between the first test until the time the customer receives the car that there is no "hard miles" on the car. I would love to believe that there are no stupid miles, but I think that's a bit presumptuous.
Oh and btw, the motors are tested before they go in the car prior to the tachometer so I'm sure there's a few miles on the motor. Not to say people shouldnt buy cars, just don't be naive to reality....
Ok, have your thread back lol

even if it was "beaten- on" on test drives, it should be fine since these people are only doing 2nd-4th gear pulls.
Its not like theyre raping it on the track.
There isnt that much road in broad day light to "abuse" it that badly anyways.
Plus its not like you wont rip it from time to time :)

maybe if its a honda/acura or some daily drivers car...
I have yet to see an exotic or a higher end car get shit ripped by a lot attendant....espesh when the entire car is wrapped in white vinyl with a 12" x 6" slott cutt out in the front windsheild and the side window.... coming off an enclosed 40ft container......:heckno:

Totally agree with u.
The car was designed and tested before mass production.
Shouldn't be a sales manager's job to rip a car around (when he ain't testing shit all, only having fun).

I want to rent your car for 24 hrs for...say a few hundred?
I'll return it with no issues. No lights, no weird lights, no smoke.
