used but basically new because it doesn't have running parts so it can never go bad. Basically my adapter will let you hook up any desktop video card to use on your laptop and play graphics demanding games. Cannot find this around locally, ever! thanks
Any laptop can use this device as long as you have a express card slot on the side of your laptop. I was using a old toshiba satellite with core 2 duo and crappy onboard video memory, plugged this in with a gtx460 and played sc2 and crysis 2 on highest settings. Although since it is using express card slot, the performance of the desktop card is reduced to about 70-80% potential.
comes with mini express card, mini hdmi, pci adapter slot for the video card.
You need your own power supply ex: old desktop power supply: can be any wattage-300-700w or a 12v laptop charger.
