it's surprising to me that he's put out a record but not surprising that he can sing. they do musicals all the time on family guy and it's him doing the singing all the time as peter, brian, and stewie. i remember reading somewhere that he had to get training for it though.

Have you guys never seen family guy? All of the musical numbers are sung by Macfarlane, likely composed too. Brian is basically his normal voice and he sings all the time, at least in the early seasons he did.
