At first, I was thinking to avoid the discussion of music piracy, but it really is the most relevant topic, at least from what is publicly stated by the recording companies.

Probably the overall market shrunk so much due to piracy, the same # of people buying LP/EP represent 10X what it used to

why are ownership (everyone owns their own label these days), endorsements and such not here? this and touring is what makes money these days. if piracy is so bad, why are artiss waaaay richer these days than they were 25 years ago? buncha bullshit about ego and wanting to own your art, when the fact is that art cannot be owned by one person but is shared; thats what makes it art
