Usually when someone comes into OT to post the question, "Is this normal?" it is about an abnormal growth on their genitals, or a fetish they have. LOLOLOLOLOL

My answer......... do the paper test. If the paper doesn't catch on fire, it's safe.

OK, going to be serious. It's pretty hot. How long before it reaches those temps?

No, definitely not normal. Your SpeedFan is not reading properly...
Or you're cutting it very close at those temps... Did you mount on your heatsinks properly?
I can't imagine your components being that hot... you system should just shut itself down.

btw, You should post in the Tech thread next time.

Computer Tech, Gaming & Electronics - Vancouver's Top Classifieds and Automotive Forum - REVscene.net

Might get more help in there.

wow.. that's HOT!!~ mm.. take off your CPU cooler, clean it with rubbing alcohol then apply thermal paste ( DO NOT USE THE STICKER ONES! USE SOMETHING LIKE THIS "NCIX.com - Buy Arctic Cooling MX-4 Thermal Compound Paste NON-ELECTRICAL Conductive 4 Gram - Arctic Cooling - MX-4T-4G - in Canada "

somethings definitely fucked if you're getting 101 in one spot and 9 in another, those temps can't be correct.

Would help if you posted the specs/model of your computer, that way we have an idea what we're working with. Try running hwmonitor, and uh...is your fan running? o.o

Either speedfan isnt reading right, or you got something really fucked up. GPU on load shouldnt go past 80, much less 70, and you're core shouldnt go past that either.

Try reinstalling everything, get another fan, apply thermal paste, aftermarket CPU cooler, etc.

Everything's going to fry if that keeps up.

Pretty sure the machine would have shut down automatically well before CPU temperatures reach 99°C.

Most motherboards have built in thermal protection now that will shut the machine off if it reaches a threshold temperature.
