On a serious note....a real shame they had to shoot and kill so many...

What a fucking asshole.
Killing himself? No problem.
But did he really have to let loose the animals?

True story!!
My question is...what the hell was he doing with all those animals? Does not appear to be a legit facility for those types of animals. The grounds look run-down and kind of shady.
Plus, he was the only one there? Does not seem all that safe to begin with.

hope no one was eaten alive
too bad the guy committed suicide...they could've thrown him in a pen of tigers and wolves to get a taste of his own medicine

They did try using tranquilizers but they said it took too long to kick in (15mins). They said when the fired the tranquilizer dart at one of the tigers, it entered the tiger but it just got up and charged at them

yeah that guy thats usually on David Letterman (brings exotic animals on to the show) was on Anderson Cooper apparently he was involved in the culling
said Tranqs take time to work and you're not even certain if you got the shot correctly until the animal goes down and until that time the animal is still @ 100% so they couldnt risk it
supposedly they rescued a good deal of them and brought them to a zoo
but still lots of tigers etc dead :( to an already endangered species

From what I understand you have to be trained to use animal tranquilizers and I don't think police would have tranquilizers on them.
From what I have seen on the news the Animals were shot before before night fall came and Jack Hanna did not arrive till after many of them were shot. Something like 46 animals were shot out of the 56.
