Maybe; maybe not. KFC is supposed to be considered luxury food in many parts of China. The idea is that it comes from America, and therefore hold higher values of sanitary regulations (even though we all know it as simply deep fried chicken and shredded lettuce). So a lot of these places are just trying to make a quick buck out of the amount of effort KFC has put into localization in China.


Then again, it would make sense to anybody who's every spent a dollar Canadian on the street eats in Asia. The sanitation standards there are nonexistent.

Fried chickens in China taste as good as the one in KFC and Church in Canada.
They sure are smaller in size and not sure what ingredients they use, but who the fuck do we care. Only things that matter are taste and price.

KFC is considered as highend dining place in China. Same chicken costs 3x more, poor people who can't afford will sure go to fake KFC.
