I am looking at this post on craigslist. Do you guys think its a good deal for the price? OR should I just save some more cash for some alienbees or something similar.

don't waist your money, invest in alien bees.

you either go extreme light and mobile, which means going with a bunch of small flash heads like the 480ex or go big with the alienbee.

Keep in mind though, before choosing your lighting gear, you should also consider the following factors:

1. Shooting Subject:
The bigger the subject, the stronger the flash unit is required

2. Time of shoot:
Small flash heads like the 480ex/580ex is usually sufficient at a night time but not strong enough at day time as fill light or for overcoming natural light.

3. Light Modifier:
Use of softbox/umbrella/wall will greatly decrease the intensity of your flash heads, the bigger the modifier, the stronger flash head you will need.

All the above factors are relative to each other so you might want to let us know what you usually shoot so we can give you a better suggestion.
