10minutes??? nuggets only take 5min to fry. they jizzed on it!!!!!

seriously though i worked at wendys and when you order something and say "can i get it freshly made", they 'have to' fry new ones for you. (this is super effective at night as they probably are not good at keeping expired times.)

Item / Expiry time / new ones frying time
Fries: 5min / 2.9min
Nuggets: 30min / 5min
Strips: 30min / 5.5min
Spicy chicken,Breaded: 30min / 5.5min
Hamburgers: i forget but its 90% fresh since when it expires we put it in a heated bin for chili use later. / not long, couple min.

At night the only thing thats usually made on order are the burgers. Grilled chicken is the least fresh since they stop cooking it so they can clean the grill earlier. Other things are left inthe warmer but in small quantity so turnover is not bad.

Grilled Chicken: grilling chicken takes some time and usually a chart is followed.
Baked Potatoes: Also takes a long time so a chart is followed. Its usually fresh since potatoes change colors when its getting old and we throw it out. (whiter=fresher)
Chili: Obviously this is slow cooked and the longer its stays out, the thicker it gets (which i like, although we sometimes add water when its too thick). [chili meat is, yesterdays expired patties; nothing wrong with that though]

On game nights, etc, u dont really need to ask for fresh. especially if there is a hold up.

Some tips:
SUPER SECRET SORT OF: There is a button on the register for a SINGLE strip its like 1.xx~2$ IIRC but even some of my coworkers didnt know about it so dont get mad if u try and the dont know it, ive never seen someone ask for it either.
Every ingrident can be added or taken off:
ex) there is ab utton for bacon strips. you can add it to any burger / extra etc.
EXTRA PATTIES, there is a button for extra patties, ive seen someone get a quad baconator. (some people also just ask for a single pattie for their dog)
EVERYTHING on baked potato (chili, cheese sauce, chedder cheese, chives, bacon bits, brocolli, packets of sour cream and butter) [sour cream is free, u can ask for as many as u want]
You can ask for a shitload of sauce packets (wild buffalo ranch, ranch, sweet and sour, honeymustard, bbq)
XL FROSTY = large size drink cup, you can also add extra scoops of toppings for a fee. (no xl twisted or shakes though)

I really want to emphasize how different 5min old fries vs right out of the fryer fries are. Its fucking amazing.

If you ever had the chance to have a 'just came out of the fryer breaded/spicy chicken' burger when its scorching hot, you know what im talking about. Its heart warming/killing.

You wouldnt cook dinner and then leave it in a warmer for 10~30 min before eating it.
ASK FOR FRESH (but expect and even be happy to wait, dont ask and then get mad cuz its taking time wtf)
