Help! Car won't start.

Car is an 01 ITR with a Compustar 2-way alarm. 2W9000FMR remote.
The car was running fine but now the car won't start using the key and stepping on the clutch.

Alarm was professionally installed a few years ago. Alarm works fine. Arms and disarms. Remote beeps and lights up.

When I use the key, the dash lights up, and I can hear the fuel pump working, but the starter does not turn over. I don't even hear the starter solenoid.

Any suggestions on things i can check?

I'm no expert or anything, but i think the starter interrupt relay (if it has one) is stuck/broken.

Bring it to a shop? or bring a shop to you? lol

any updates?

have you tried jump starting it? also, did you take the battery out for a period of time? could be a bad connection between posts/terminals

Car was running fine. I parked it and then went to restart it and that was when there was nothing. Battery is fine, fully charged.

I will look for the clutch inhibitor switch and give that a try.

Will also try to tap the starter and jump the starter.

Figured it might be the alarm since i tried to remote start the car.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Yup. Starter.
With the hood up, I could hear the starter tick.
Knocked the starter with a wrench, voila. Car came to life.

Thanks guys.
