- Devastating earthquake + tsunami destroys Japan
- New Zealand suffers the same unfortunate fate weeks earlier
- 10th year anniversary of 9/11
- The Norway massacre
- Stupid Occupy movement that lost its meaning
- Steve Jobs passes away
- London Riots
The more "local" stories
- Stanley Cup Riots
- Matt Zhang and 12 of his other buddies have their super cars impounded
- Canada gets a majority government in I-don't-know-how long
- Jets come back to Winnipeg

2011 for me will be known as the year of protests and riots and governments overthrown. will be interesting to see if its a one year thing or if its maybe just the start of something bigger. probably wont know for a decade or more... or maybe 1 year and 2 weeks. lol

Its been an interesting year for me. Completed school, continued to struggle to find work, landed a job related to my education, moved out of Kamloops after living 28 of my 30 years there.
