So third season of Spartacus is set to air on January 27th, 2012 and I'm quite stoked about it! We'll all have to get used to not seeing Andy as the face of Spartacus. If you watch the Trailer below you'll notice everything's off without Andy as the main lead. It still looks bad ass so I guess it won't differ too much.

You're sort of missing some main ideas.

They were deciding whether to go far from roman grasps but then decided to free their fellow slaves. Along the way to the different surrounding villas to look for navia (sp?) they found info of her.

So this is where the group split (some to the mines and some to the port). They freed up more people but this is all in the surrounding area so they actually haven't ventured too far from Capua.

I actually don't mind that a lot of so called main characters are gone though and I applaud people who have the balls to do so. Shows like OZ was a good example how there will be what you may consider a main character then BAM their dead and then other people start turning into main characters. Crassus is a real historical figure, BTW, and he does pretty much the same shit (volunteers, pays for the armies) in real life. Just like Spartacus, he was a real badass. His armies feared him more than the enemy.

He's the first Roman in this show with a sense of honor, the first to realize that regardless of birth, men are equal on the battlefield. That's why he's likeable. All the other "enemies" have been douchebags but this guy shakes the hand of a slave he just killed, telling him he will honor his memory.

He reminds me of Jeremy Irons in Die Hard with a Vengeance. Older dude...but you know he's a bad motherfucker.
