Ugh!
I literally live 30 seconds away and have been waiting for them to get their act together and open ffs!
I heard the safeway opened last week and was hoping the same would happen for the theatre. oh well.
Also, I am they finish that whole area soon....traffic is shit down columbia because of it.
thanks :)

They took out a lot of buildings, but still kept some of the historic store fronts.
I am still confused as to how they are squeezing it all in as it is a pretty small area...Safeway, Shoppers Drug Mart, 10 screen theatre, restaurants, smaller stores, parking, and like 3-4 high rise condos.
Traffic is going to be crazy.

i drive by there all the time i thought they were nutz trying to develop that little strip of land
cant conceive how they piled that much into it :fulloffuck:
same as the other end of new west where they're developing another corner strip of land

ah, the "new sapperton"!
just when you think there are all ready enough grocery stores in new west, they put another one in.
there are now 3 safeways, 1, iga, 1 thriftys, 1 pricemart, and 1 save-on within a 3-5 min drive of my place.
i dig that they are trying to clean parts of new west up, but how many big-box store do we need?! population hovers around only 80k.
i don't get it.
