my iPod nano might err the pricey side, but without it I'm stuck listening to a shitty 99.3 song rotation from a coworker blasting his radio, and mixed with Christmas music in a separate area, it's brutal noise.
Also, my Snap-On 14mm/17mm box end wrench.

most latest model smartphone. i have a galaxy s2 loaded with useful apps, takes kickass pictures and video, versatile for fm radio, SIP style voip..
a high quality insulated travel mug + a latte or coffee from caffe artigiano (or your choice of source) = nice hot comfy beverage for your entire morning..... priceless
An electric kettle - makes a world of difference when you need to boil water. So much quicker and you don't have to watch the stove. Seems trivial, but even making instant noodles is a lot faster.
A soft fluffy bathmat.
a multitool
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mkPinU1U3-8/To4EZdUL26I/AAAAAAAAACg/0PBRPpmN6qM/s1600/Leatherman.jpg
leatherman multitools range from $25-150ish
right now home depot has the leatherman wingman that is a steal for $25.
use it around the house or when camping, or even leave it in the car. its extremely useful.
^Oh, I forgot about that. I don't carry around a multitool, just a basic tiny Swiss Army knife with my keys. Can't even count the number of times its come in handy.
portable speakers for an ipod or mp3 player
being able to have music anywhere in the house or at a bbq, camping, party, etc... is really nice.
you can easily spend less than 50 for a decent one that will fill a large room.
a file cart:
http://www.oppictures.com/singleimages/400/ALEFW601424BL_1_2.JPG
if you want to be able to quickly organize all paperwork, this is invaluable.
i have a bunch of tabs i set up for taxes, banking, car reciepts, investments, misc receipts, etc...

Cup Noodles for the cold days when i forget my lunch
Any good leads on a good showerhead? Whats with all the environmentally friendly crap that has zero pressure!
I was looking for the same thing after returning like 4 shower heads from Revy and homedepot which had no pressure at all even after removing the blocker so its not environmentlly friendly anymore that were all more than $30.
Then I came across a plumbing store on Victoria & 35th and they carry a cheap shower head for like under $10 and it gives out all the pressure that your house water is able to give out, sometimes the pressure in my house varies and the water almost hurts.
