she was 8 and couldn't remember any of her family's name?
maybe if she suffered from a terrible head truama that made her amnesic or lived only with her grandpa her entire life...that part of the story seems a little farfetched.

My niece and nephews would know who to call and their parents first and last names and they are 7 and 8.
