I have been calling around everywhere (furniture stores, thrift stores, all sorts of mailing facilities) and they don't have any of this sitting around or even for sale.

So can you RS'ers keep an eye out for this BLACK PACKAGING FOAM

preferably NOT cut up like the picture but I just need a small portion of it, about 10" (w) x 12"(l) x 2" (depth) but anything will help, I will pick it up personally ASAP at your convenience!

Kitty corner from Ikea. They'll probably have what you need but be prepared to pay $$$$ for it. Foam, especially that type, ain't cheap.

One of my customers makes foam and I've seen pieces like that floating around there. Problem is that I probably won't be going there until January sometime. If you can wait.................

Not EXACTLY the same but most camera shops that carry pro equipment will have foam like this for the inside of travel cases. Most of the time, it's checkered so you can rip out shapes in the foam.

Give Broadway Camera, Lens and Shutter, Leo's, Beau Camera, etc a call.
