| convince me to keep the ipad2
so, i have an ipad2 cuz of christmas.
i have not found one use for it other than an expensive paper weight, and cutting cocaine on it.
so seriously, what can i use it for?
1) I am not going to carry it out with me. it's only going to stay at home
2) "home" is a small apartment. i am less than an arms reach away from my desktop which already has dual monitors (probably 3 monitors soon)... so anything i can do on the ipad, i can do on the computer, but better.
3) i have an iphone4s, so anything i can do on the ipad i can already do on the iphone.
4) if i had a cat i'd probably just give it to my cat and let it claw at it all day.
5) I can return it and put that cash away for a new laptop.
6) snoring cocaine off streaming porno seems pretty enticing.

Plus 1 for snorting lines of some chicks pussy as it's getting pounded. You should check to see if they have an app that tells you how big to make your lines with a template to fill in for optimum rails.

i find my moms ipad somewhat convenient if i just want to browse the net but not pick up my laptop (rarely) that's about it... so unless you're unbelievably lazy, return it

I'm in the same situation. I got one in exchange for some work, traded up to an iPad 2 since it was utterly useless. The iPad 2 is more capable, but there's not a lot to do with it. Gaming on an ipad is truly "meh". There are very occasionally good games that make use of the controls, like Swords & Sworcery, but for the most part the games are just throwaway games. Play it once or twice, and throw it away.
At the same time, I don't want to get rid of it. I do use it every day, usually in bed before and after I go to sleep. Also, it is always my toilet companion. If I had paid full price for it, I would probably get rid of it. But I see it as sort of a 'gift' so I just keep it.
If you travel, it is fantastic though. I like it better than a laptop for movies, because it is easy to put away, and the battery life is good.

lol im gonna return it and put that money toward the new macbook air that will be released in... spring?
i honestly can't find any single use for it. I don't bed surf at all. I can see it being useful on a plane or something, but honestly a macbook air is just as small basically and does so much more.

I gave mine to my dad...he likes it...for several months and it is now under some newspaper piles. I'd trade in for a Galaxy tab 7.0 / 7.7, or a macbook. I just hate the lack of ports and customization.

Unless you are already an "apple person". MBA was some impressive hardware, but PC has just as good (actually in many ways better) now.

im so glad you made this post,
the ipad is seriously a useless piece of technology, and its so fucked up that they are everywhere, I should just go around grabbing them out of peoples hands at starbucks and run away.
they are mostly starting to get used a lot in schools these days, I think thats the majority of their sales, the whole paperless textbook thing, but even then school districts are retarded for buying hundreds of ipads for students, when all they do is play angry birds on them in class, instead of just getting them kobo readers for actual e-reading.

Ipad is not for you.
IMO, it will replace desktops & laptops as average computer users only use computers for web browsing or word processing; which tablets (equipped with keyboard docks) are getting capable of.
However, for gamers and power users (Adobe, autoCAD, Audio guys, etc), this new piece of tech will yield little convenience for ppl this ilk.
At least that's how I see it; so IMO, return it and get something you'd actually have a use for, like cocaine.
