My Nikon F3's shutter release button is broken. I don't want to bring it into Nikon Canada as they'll probably charge an arm and a leg. Any shop recommendations?

Camtex or Vancam are private places that repair cameras, but I've heard too many horror stories to go there personally. You should contact Nikon and see what they say, IMHO. It might actually be reasonable. Service might be a little slow, as I know they let some people go at the Richmond centre.
