Extremely unfortunate and heartbreaking. Although it is reality, it is very saddening to know that such cruelty and lowly actions still exist in the US army.

That's disgusting, but unfortunately not unheard of.

yeah you'd think of people in the army that help each other and go through the toughest things but then there are the people who join it just to want to be in control

kind of like some cops that become cops just to boss everyone around, good cops are harder to find

One of my best friends is in the USAF and she is also Asian. She was deployed to Baghdad last year and stayed there for 6 months. Although she stayed on base most of the time with her colleagues (she's a computer engineer), she was often the target of Asian jokes and ridicule. Apparently, it is very common in all branches of the forces for Asians and other minorities to be targeted. This case is very tragic, and I hope that those involved who went overboard will get what they deserve. The groups in NY has to stay persistent on the matter and appeal for the justice of a fallen soldier.

My cousin in Boston enrolled with the USAF specializing as a dentist several years ago

Needless to say, she left because of the racism and decided to fork up the cash for college. I can't say too much but there's a lengthy court martial going on. Not fun.

more like humans and racism go hand in hand....

look at the Japanese people here in Vancouver during WW2...

if war were to happen with china, i don't even want to know what they would do to people of Chinese ethnicity. forced to open books on all affairs, racism out of nothing etc....

Can't generalize people of USA being racist hicks, that's also prejudice. I find that there's barely any racism in the Northern parts of the states, but although I haven't been to the south or the midwest, I've heard it's like a different country there.
