Mature discussion about understanding the opposite sex...
i have a bunch of good guy friends and lately one of them has been hanging out with this girl, lets call her Sally. I have only met Sally 3-4 times, but i see my buddy (for the story lets call him Joe) 4-5 times a week, whether it be driving range, drinking, eating out etc etc... a few times hes brought sally out with him and introduced her to the group as his "friend". None of us knew to much about her when she wasnt around i asked my other friend what the deal was with her and he said he didnt know either... anyways were all out together for dinner a few nights ago and we ask him (sally wasnt there) and he tells us that hes been texting back and forth with her daily for the past 6-7 months, they hang out together on weekends doing "couple" type activities. they even exchanged Christmas gifts, she made him some special thing with all there inside jokes and whatnots. (before you say anything...no we arent 15 years old. im 25, my friend just turned 26, and Sally is 28) fast forward now to the present day and time.... were out for drinks and appies last night, waiting for the crew to arrive it was just joe and i. he confided in me, telling me that he recently found out that Sally has a boyfriend, a long term boyfriend of 1.5yrs+, and the icing on the cake is THEY LIVE TOGETHER!!! so there i am shocked cause i was thinking she was into Joe.... anyways he was kinda choked about it and wanted some advice as to what to do.... i told him natuarlly that she was crazy and he best stay away, nobody wants the karma that comes with being a homewrecker.... he agrees but i dont think he's gonna stop...
Anyways i know it was kind of a random thing, but i FIND THIS VERY WEIRD. maybe not so mnuch weird but very shady... and on Sallys part, because Joe didnt know. what would you tell your bro in the same situation?
shiiieeeet thats a fucked up situation rigfht thur...I would honestly tell your bro just to cut it loose and try not to talk to the girl again unless she isn't trying to actually hook up with your boy and just be friends...but we all know the chances of that is highly unlikey so I would probably just tell him to stay away from her and avoid the drama!
Yah it'd be best to stay away until she figures her shit out
Who knows maybe sally does like joe
But till this day Sally n bf still together
and she needs to figure it out
In the meantime ur boy joe needs to stay away
And meet other chickas
Can't wait forever For this one girl
Who knows what else she has to hide Posted via RS Mobile
home wreck or not its up to your buddy,if shit happens he has to solve it. but id say avoid it.
on the other hand, your buddy better not be serious about her.. if she would do that to her current bf, what makes him think she wont do it to him, who she kidding

I would tell your friend to break it off as soon as possible, there is just drama waiting to happen.
I can't remember how many times the boyfriend ignores the fact that his girlfriend has equal part "cheating" (some guys considering this cheating) and focuses all the blame on the other guy.
Regardless of the situation, bitches be crazy.
But if shit hits the fan, have his back no matter what.
Haha. I already figured "friend-zoned" even before I got to the latter half of the OP's write-up saying she already had a committed relationship with someone else.
My play:
If (and I assume this is the case) I have nothing else going on at the moment, and a "friendship" is the closest thing you have to a relationship with a female, might as well keep it..... that is until something better comes along. I mean it's not like you're leading her on. It's her using you by patronizing you for friendship.
I don't think it's too weird. Lots of girls have guys like these (your friend in this case) as a backup, bro or a shoulder to cry on. I would let your friend know to stop wasting time here because time and money is precious. You can make money back, but you can never make time back.
In this situation you've provided I cannot critique the actions from your friend. But what I evaluate from this is that he 'friend-zoned' himself. I THINK (again I don't have the proper information I'm making assumptions based upon information provided) that he took way too long to try to make a move and if he just found out that she has a boyfriend now, he obviously didn't pop the question or even ask intimate questions like "are you looking to date now?" or "what type of guy are you into?".
Remember, to get the aces and kings in a deck of cards, you just have to keep flipping them.
By the way you worded your title and the tone you used in your text, I was waiting for you to say that Joe confided in you that Sally was actually a prostitute/escort and when she was introduced to you guys, they were on a GFE.
I have no idea where they even met eachother etc. i just found it shocking that a chick would be doing that? when were all together out in a "group hang" she definitely wasnt sending the "just a friend" vibe out to Joe. everyone noticed it even the girls that were with us were like "ummmm when did joe get a gf".
she seemed cool but was hiding all this stuff, makes me think what my gf is hiding
Sometimes we tend to be in despair when the person we love leaves us, but the truth is, it's not our loss, but theirs, for they left the only person who couldn't give up on them.
Make the effort and take the risk..
"Do what you feel in your heart to be right- for you'll be criticized anyway. You'll be damned if you do, and damned if you don't." - Eleanor Roosevelt
If they want to be friends, i don't see what the problem is since it is mutual.
Sometimes, girls don't "see" what is happening and are off in their own world thinking "oh, he doesn't like me like that, we are just BEST friends."
I can see she likes the attention and your buddy is giving it to her.
If Joe likes her and doesn't want to home wreck, then stay away or accept the fact. But seriously, 6 months and he didn't make a move?
^^^so true, lol 6 months and no action we all laughed at him too.
soooo just got back from bar hopping and i got more info lol. see if i can remember this properly. Joe meet sally at his gym they exchanged fb contacts messaged a bit back and forth there then exchanged numbers. he showed us her fb and honestly there isnt 1 photo in any of it to lead on that she has/had a bf of any sort. Joe pulled out the text history and it honestly looks like a married couple are messaging eachother. he said for sure hes into her (i didnt mention shes a solid 9/10) but its just the weirdest shit she says to him like "your stuck with me for life" and Joe, since finding out about the bf has asked her if he knows about there friendship and stuff and she said "nooo he would get mad and jealous prolly" when i read that i was like whaaaat a bitch. it looked like she wants to make the switch from bf to Joe but who knows. maybe she is just wanting the attention she may not be getting at home?

ok a pissed boyfriend with an axe would be worse i guess.
Not in Vancouver. Unless your social circle is that of a gang circle, and the women you're poaching are the gangster's broads, I wouldn't worry about it.
Everyone else is just wannabe tough guys after that, and the worst it ever gets is just scandalous gossip; and some laughable cockblocking by the exes.
