My avatar is self-explanatory. I flew down to Cali over the break and caught a game.

Right now, I'm rooting for the Ravens to go all the way. I want to see Ray Lewis win another Super Bowl, retire and join a pregame show.

I have to give it to him. My Raiders were so close from making the playoffs, and without Tebow, we would've.

Tebow, as much as I hate him, did enough for the Broncos to get to the Divisional round. That's more than any Broncos fan can ask for. Respect.

That was an amazing game yesterday between Saints/Niners, even though I was rooting for Saints, I can't be upset they lost, just an amazing finish.

I'm now rooting for a Niners/Ravens Superbowl, love guys like Patrick Willis, Ed Reed and Ray Lewis.

I hate the Giants, but I took them on the +9 spread today. So far I've gotten the Pats/Broncos, Hou/Balt and Niners/Saints games right on the same ticket, just need the Giants +9 and I'm good :)

I usually bet with Bodog, but if you are talking about betting on SB winner for futures, you're too late, they closed futures betting when playoffs started. You can however still bet on individual games next week and the SB when they get odds up.

I felt so dirty betting on the Giants today, I hate Eli, but the +9 was way too good to give up.

Was hoping for a GB win today. Almost surreal they didn't bring their A-game today.

On the plus side, this was the first playoff game where CTV didn't cover up the US channels so thankfully I did not have to watch the same Subway commercials and CTV self-promos over and over again.

Some standouts:

Brady can light up SF's and NYG's defense even though they're both very good. The Ravens will give NE a challenge since it's probably their last chance to win a SB. Flacco isn't that good and Suggs, Lewis and Reed are getting old. Other than that, Flacco won't be able to score much against the Pat's D, even though it's not that good.

NYG has the best chance against the Pats with an elite QB who can put up some points against the NE secondary. I think it's going to be close between the 49ers and Giants. It'll come to turnovers and stupid mistakes.

My prediction:
NE>BAL
NYG>SF

NE>NYG in a very high scoring game.

BT
01-15-2012, 10:15 PM
Green Bay didn't show up at all today. So many dropped passes and fumbles...didn't even play like a team that went 15-1 in the reg season. San Fran and NYG is gonna be a good game I hope. San Fran's defense is amazing!

I'm cheering for the Pats now that Saints are out of it...

but I also really wanna see Ravens vs. 49'ers... Harbaugh brothers coaching in the SB against each other... it would be epic :awwyeah:

I think GB showed the rust of basically being a team that had 2 weeks off, you have to remember, they gave Rodgers and most of their starters a rest also in week 17 in addition to the bye week and Jennings effectively had 4-5 weeks off with his injury. Also their OC Philbin had been away from the team for 2 weeks due to his son's death, I thought that also showed a bit with the offense looking a bit off.

Pooface55
01-16-2012, 07:38 AM
I think its better to keep your players in, instead of resting them. Seems like every time in the playoffs, the guys who clinch everything by week 12/13 get rusty in the playoffs and end up losing.

Lines are out, Pats are -9 over Balt and Niners are -3 over Giants. I think I'm leaning towards taking the points in both matchups right now.

New York Giants

San Francisco 49ers

swat team door breach vs ray lewis

He's a beast, Lynch is the only person I seen slow him down, I was there at the game and just couldn't believe I just witness Beastmode juke Lewis out so bad making Lewis hurt himself on the play, I just lost it haha

Lewis' diet is insane

Lewis estimates he swallows 50 pills a day.

"His diet is so ridiculous, even the people around him have to adjust," linebacker Terrell Suggs says. "It's crazy. Last week, I'm eating a bag of chips, and he throws 'em away."
Lewis is a fish-and-vegetable man who hasn't touched pork in 12 years and has eaten beef twice during that span. He also doesn't drink soda or eat bread or sugar — except for scant exceptions. Like his cheat snacks, Twizzlers and Gummy Bears. "To keep living life," he says.

Bodog has the worse odds ever :lawl:

Of course those odds are shitty, there are only 4 teams left, what were you expecting? If you are going to bet on Football Futures, you have to get your bet in before season starts or at the very latest before playoffs start to get decent odds. Niners opened at 40/1 and Giants 15/1 originally.

Vegas and Bodog has the spread at -9 for Pats this weekend. BCLC Playnow has it at 7.5

Whoops, thought you were referring to the SB odds. But really, all these teams left are pretty evenly matched, so no one is going to be giving you great odds, unlike when Denver was playing NE last week.

Niners/Giants is basically a coin flip, and while Pats are favored, I don't think anyone really is expecting a blow out. I could see Ravens winning, Pats secondary is pretty bad and with Boldin and Torrey Smith that could be dangerous if Flacco wakes the fuck up. Pats run D isn't much better than their pass D, not going to be an easy task stopping lil Ray.

While I think Pats will win, no point betting on them given the odds, so I'll be betting Ravens given the points and just to make it somewhat worth it on a parlay.

True but playing on it then with all that adrenaline is much easier. Atleast he has a couple weeks to let it heal up.

I'm hoping for a niners win in this game.

I just cannot cheer for the Giants, not only because I hate Eli, but this

Giants Players Fake Injuries To Slow Down Rams Offense - YouTube

and after this game it came out that Fewell teaches his players to fake injuries, Fewell didn't even deny it when asked about it. I'm sure Giants' aren't the first team to do this, but that was just so blatant it was pathetic and to pretty much acknowledge you teach faking/diving?

Then after the Niners game, 2 of the Giants acknowledge they were told to purposely target Williams' head and to try and concuss him, since he has a history of concussion issues, that's just dirty.

I may bet on the Giants' given point spreads from time to time, but under no circumstance can I cheer or root for the Giants.
