hmm you can go to the dollar store and buy one of those pretty gift bags and a box. then fill it with stuff. just go to f21 for cheap rings, necklaces, earrings, hell buy a bunch since they so cheap anyways. scarf or whatever, supermarket for candy, and buy her a few shirts or something sentimental or anything creative. then wrap EVERY SINGLE ITEM (gift wrap is 1-2$ anyways) did that last year but not for v day and it was fun and pretty cheap. under $30 iirc.

Yup, Ecuador, flown in every 2nd day I think.

Either way though, short or long, 15$ is waaaaay to cheap. The person is probably just trying to sell them for the bare minimum so it's not a total loss on their end and the customer gets roses that last for a few days lol. long stem roses are hella expensive because the majority of them get broken along the way and they take twice as long to grow(3-4 months depending on the grower). Last year we got 400 120cm roses. maybe 50 made it here without getting bruised. Someone still bought the rest tho. The heads aren't bigger on a longer stem rose neither. Long stem roses are seen more as a coveted item for it's uniqueness. Kind of like a status symbol in the floral world.

Went out with the gf tonight.
All she did was butch and complain about how she didn't like the restaurant.
Ride home she was still bitching.
Got near my house I told her to just drop me off cause I'm tired of her shit.

she showed up late knowing we had a reservation
we get there and she complains about having to sit beside someone (was at kobes)
complained about nowhere to park and having to let the valet touch her car
continued to complain about how she now hates downtown

we were stopping off at my house anyways, since I was giving her the flowers, chocolate, card and shotgun shells (inside joke) after wards so I could get changed and grab a bag to spend the weekend at her house like I always do.

got to my house, told her I was going to spend the night alone and im just going to go inside and bring out her gifts. she said she didn't want them, so I got out the car, as I start walking inside I can hear her tires squeal as shes ripping off down the street.

Got a dozen roses from Everymans. I can confirm they are as good as he says they are. Very satisfied A++++++++++++++ fast shipping good seller would buy again :troll: even lent me a bucket to put water in so the roses won't wilt on me in the car for a couple hours till I'm finished class for the day!

On a more serious note, was going to get something from Tiffany but was advised that if I got her something over x amount of money she wouldn't be happy with me as I'm financially tight this month already, so that can wait till our 1 year anni :badpokerface: got her a new Instax camera to replace her aging one, some chocolates, a DIY mason jar with 50 reasons why I love her, and more chocolate, and a card.

Dinner + movie = a nice Vday. She is sick though so I'll have to pick up some Tylenol and other stuff for her.
Good to hear you're happy with the roses/bucket! I made some sad looking gal on the streets day by giving her 2 purple roses(the last ones I had). And then drank until 4a.m at a friends birthday. good day it was.

i think what was bothering her was that she was driving him - what kind of a man gets driven around by their GF on valentine's day (or in all reality, on any day?) - maybe i'm too old fashioned and am not a 'zip car hipster' but i know one tihng, when i'm with my mrs. I drive, she can relax (and get there faster and safer)
