They did say she eats the fries and other fast foods too. In the article says theres plenty of vitamin C in the fries; to keep her from getting scurvy.

(Vitamin C levels are a pretty 'hot' topic in terms of the recommended dosage. It varies a lot, but by some standards, she receives enough vitamin C).
