: Anyone's Shaw Down?

Woke up this morning and my shaw internet and TV are both down. Anyone else having the same problem??

I tried calling shaw but the lines queued up to 2 hours.

Call the cancellation line and voice your concern there. :)

Tell them this is unacceptable and try and milk them for a month of free cable and internet.

Edit : called and got patched through right away! Apparently theres an outage in my area. Oh wells at least im content i wasnt the only one getting fucked

havn't had any problems with mine, both tv and internet

but since we're talking about shaw, i upgraded over to broadband about a month ago - and got even slower internet speeds. what the hell man

Not down but internet is so slow I've resorted to tethering my phone. 3G is faster.

but can't play games online as it keeps dcing every 20 seconds or so

Internets been shit lately. Realized my router was next to a CRT tv + a microwave. Moved it away from those two things and internets fast again :fullofwin: called shaw and bitched for no reason heh.

My router is next to the flat screen and shaw box. When in my room 30 feet away connection is so weak on my wireless lap top.

im in richmond terra nova area too, my internet gets cut out every 10 - 20 mins since last night, fuuuuu i want fiber optic! not eligible in this location yet tho

anyone having any problems in surrey area? I had some connection issues.. would keep getting disconnected.. but not it's a constant connection...just super slow... like high speed only not extreme or broadband 50

i wish they would have a website to show where they are having problems, that way we know shaw knows so we don't have to call in....

Mines been disconnecting once a week at night (like 7pm - 12am)

Just have to reset my router and it works again :suspicious:

My internet down for 48 hours now. Provisioning problem. Their IT team still hasn't fixed it. Same response: IT team knows we are very busy and need to serve many customers.

Average wait time for call and/or callback is 30 to 120 min. Chinese still 30 min at least.

I can understand down time of few hours or even a full day. But 48 and counting. I think it's close to 54 now.

Used to be a big fan of Shaw. No more. I'm looking at telus soon.

If you guys have smartphone with data? tweet them instead of calling.

Had a problem and was on hold for 45 minutes, got fed up and tweeted to shaw and got a reply within 2 minutes. Then after talking to the tech by Direct Message. He fixed the issue within 5 minutes & I was still on hold by the time my cable came back.

I think their switch board is overloaded when shit breaks that's why they want people to start using twitter.
