I'll take the 370.
I'd take a used 2009 370z with 100,000 KMs over a new 2013 Genesis.

If someone drove 100k over 2 years of ownership, that'd be damn impressive.
Don't know much about the 2013 Genesis, but sat in both trim levels of the older Genesis coupe and it seemed plasticky and kind of cheap.
I've driven the 350 and 370, and although many complain about the cheap interior of the 350, I never noticed it...I was probably too busy admiring the exhaust note.
As for the 370..I love everything about it. Way out of my price range though.

whats the camera man driving.. it catching up pretty good.. lol
oh sorry, the thread was about a hyundai? :fuckthatshit:
jesus christ another one of these threads?
this topic has been beat to shit. if you want speed and care about brand names then get the 370. if you want more versatility in the form of seats, something different and still a good delivering powerplant and dont care as much of the make of your car, not to mention the price, get the genesis. so simple, i dont see why this same comparison needs to keep coming back up
also note that in the 2013 (im not sure that the one in the vid was an actual 2013 as the 2013 tails fit in the older gens), with 350hp DI, it could handle a stock Z no problem

Based on what? You could at least back up such a blatant post with some facts. The 370Z is a 2 seater with a higher base price and although it's proven to be a great car for a number of years this Genesis is looking pretty damn good. In the US these cars have 10 year , 100 000 MILE warrantys and here they have a 5 Year 100 000 KM warranty. Leads in that department also. Not to mention the wide array of standard features+ back seats ect.
Hyundai has basically filled the void of a performance segment in an otherwise economical, affordable brand now. The elantra and sonata have recieved praise from just about every automotive source out there lately. Honda hasn't been putting out any real enthusiast cars anymore since the RSX and the with the discontinuation of the S2K. Now that the Genesis is here, and so far its proving to be a really solid, well rounded car for a good price, people have more choices because Hyundai did what Honda stopped doing and from every indication they seem to be doing it well. (see video ;))

Die hard genesis fan boy now lololol
I'll take one with 200,000 km over a genesis
last time i checked i believe a semi to fully loaded 2.0T is $30g-31g or watever the price is
WRX/ralliart/Si/Mazspeed 3 anyone?
3.8 fully loaded is about $38g , before taxes
Now i can get a Sti for $38g - 1.5-2g off the price tag. sunroof navi is $42g
Besides 370z goes for $42g-44g without bargaining yet, now if i can afford a $35g car i dont see wats so hard to shell out another $5g for a proper car
:fullofwin:
cheap out $5g to get a hyundai? no thx
$5g is nothing when you are financing or leasing son

I do like how Hyundai improved Genesis over time, but the new design is so ugly (especially the front) to the point that I won't get it no matter the spec.

I've driven both the Genesis, and 370z; along with similarly powered STI, 135i.
jmho, but the Genesis wasn't all that great to drive. More power makes it a even better deal, but imo there are a lot of things that needed work, and more power was the last thing.

Hyundai has definitely stepped up their game in the past couple years. Judging from the video it's speed is up there but I think I would have to go with the 370z tho. It just seems to be a more complete car and the interior is much nicer than the genesis. But then again, I guess you get what you pay for. :considered:

something a lot of you genesis fanboys seem to be missing.. power is not everything.
just because the genesis has similar horsepower and is also rwd does NOT make it comparable to the 370z.
handling, weight distribution, weight, steering feel, these are all huge factors in what a 'good' car is about. just cause hyundai put a big engine in there and they are comparable in a straight line means nothing. a stock 370z will race circles around a genesis coupe 3.8 on a track. simply because nissan has put a lot of r&d through generations of the Z and it is simply better engineered than a second generation 'sports' car with a big engine.
then again you get what you pay for. but this definitely isn't only about the 'brand' name.. (of what?? nissan? :suspicious:)
