White Parking Lights Illegal?

I just bought some white LED parking light to re-place the ugly yellow-ish. Is it illegal, in Vancouver to change them? I've been hearing mixed answers. I figure the newer Mercedes have white parking lights, why can't I just switch mine?
Does anyone have white led on there car?

IIRC, if they're not your signal lights, shouldn't draw too much attention. Though really anything not stock could potentially land you a VI.

if you post on RS to ask, its illegal.
It is ugly for a reason.
Manufacturers would not purposely install something ugly unless they had to.

i think he means the OEM 'clear' bulbs that are actually like brown almost.
manufacturers use them because they are cheap. same reason cars dont come with silverstar ultra headlight bulbs.

Illegal is one thing, however, you should be fine with it. I've been running my yellow fogs as drls for some time now without getting harassed. If its just parking lights then I don't think you will face any issues.

Don't like the ugly yellow-ish color?
Go for the next best thing, amber!

Can't really see it on my car but with amber, it's a legit nice color for parking lights!

Shouldn't this thread be in the "Vancouver Auto Chat" forum?

your front turn signals are allowed to be either white or amber. the rear however must be red or amber... so you're half right...

If you're talking about the wedge type bulbs, you need to read this.
ClearCorners.Com > Tech Info > LED Bulb Shootout: Super Bulb Fighter (http://clearcorners.com/tech/006/)
Let's actually use the pictures right off of his site. LED's have a nice colour, but they're not nearly as good as the regular bulbs that come from the factory. You could argue about light output for Parking lights, since you don't actually REALLY need them, but I'd still run the factory bulbs. Headlights and Brake lights are a different story. You actually want the best output available.
30 LEDS VS a single 21 Watt bulb.

Edit:
To answer your question.
You're fine as long as they're not blue.

I've always wondered what are parking lights.
I've heard of them before, but not sure which are the specific parking lights
and what are their function.
Is there a separate switch to activate them?
I just have my lights on automatic settings.
