And RIM is giving free Playbooks to Android devs if they write/port an App over.
Who's going to waste time doing that when you can buy one for dirt cheap?

^ For some people it is easy as pie.
Telus is getting rid of them so that they can pick up the 3g ones in Q2.

I picked one up, I think it's a steal of a deal. I'm not huge on applications and just wanted something bigger then my Nexus S for the internet....this is just perfect. Speedy multi-tasking, looks slick, plays HD video.
I'm happy.
I tried ordering one a few times on their site - it kept on saying checkout is temporarily unavailable, annnnnnd now it's off the site.
Gonna stop by a store later and see if they have any.

I'm pretty stoked for OS 2.0 and the Android Player...so it'll be just as good as an android tab!
Anyone know if this deal is at bestbuy too?

Its a deal between RIM and Telus. Only deal at other stores is price matching. Some will, some won't.
For example, I called BestBuy to see if they will price match. The guy on phone said yes so I drove down there (probably took 15 minutes). Girl there went to get one from the back and then told me "Telus removed it from their website so we are no longer price matching." Well, that just wasted me half hour.

One of my co-workers went to the Telus store, today. They had a 32GB in stock, and when she got there, they had just sold it. The guy contacted London Drugs, and they price matched $149. She may be a unique circumstance, though. YMMV.

IPad user here. Is there a way to load up emulators for SNES and NES for the playback and then use a controller to play it? Wouldn't mind making a old school gaming tablet.

Favorite feature of the playbook is def the multi-tasking, hands down the most intuitive system that I've seen on a tablet. I've tried streaming 1080p video, working on a resume and checking facebook. I experienced no slow-downs what so ever in changing from applications. Also, the actual movement of switching is flows very well; it's not awkward I guess.

I picked one up at visions for $150.XX tax in after they price matched plus 5% off. I tried going back to get a couple more and they told me they coudnt price match any more cause they made a mistake and didnt see the " while quantity last" on the telus web site
