I'll keep an eye out in DT PoCo and around the tricities.
Good thing is, there's high probability they just took it to go from a->b and it'll be found soon enough.

I hope you didn't lose any personal property in the vehicle. Other than that, I'm actually happy when old pieces of junk get taken off the road. You get a payout from ICBC and the rest of us don't have to deal with sharing the road with a poorly maintained POS vehicle. The thieves get their joyride and torch the vehicle at the end. Everyone wins.

Well, I'm going to fail him, because maybe he doesn't have theft on his, as you call it POS truck. Maybe he liked the truck...maybe 1000 different things. He obviously cares enough to get it back that he wants others to watch for it.
Bit of a dick move, yeah?

you're a piece of shit for . Nobody wins when ICBC has to pay out for a car theft.

I lost about $200 worth of material goods. Nothing too substantial.
Beat up outside yes, poorly maintained? Aside from 2 seized brake calipers in the back it was decent ::fuckyea:
Didn't bother getting comprehensive as I was already paying $1200 a year for insurance for a truck I paid $2200 for.
Im already looking for a replacement :lawl:
That truck was the ultimate definition of a beater.
Will be on the lookout for it, my friend. I drive all over the place. HMV in plate number helps........... good luck.

Looks like you lost your train of thought there, Einstein. I disagree with your statement that nobody wins when ICBC pays out for old clunkers that are written off. Every vehicle on the road imposes a social cost on other road users. Clunkers are terrible for the environment, are an eye-sore in a neighborhood dragging down property values, and impose a risk on other road users if they are unsafe. Often clunkers are the vehicles that slow traffic flow because their drivers fear driving at the speed of traffic. SUVs from the early 90s represent a bygone era. Do you really like being stuck on the highway behind one of these clunkers puttering along at 80 km/h and not be able to see the road ahead of you? I certainly don't.
It's the same with senior citizens clinging on to their driver's licenses when they are clearly incapable of driving. They impose a social cost on everyone else. When it is time to say goodbye, it is time to say goodbye. Volvo-brickster can cherish the memories of his Pathfinder, but it's time for the vehicle to just RIP (rust in piece(s).)

Looks like you tortured that beast. Some of the most fun driving memories I've had were in beaters driving the crap out of them hoping they'd die. My buddies and I bought this first generation civic and Chevette for about $500 each just to kill em. We played bumper cars in the gravel parking lot at Cypress and busted the oil pan on the Civic off roading it on a dirt road at high speed. Good times.
