My GP examined my feet for excess callouses in the same area in both feet. Although nothing showed up wrong in the xrays, she recommended I see a podiatrist for possible flat feet problems and footware solutions. She told me she couldn't recommend a specific person because she really did not know any podiatrists work to personally recommend.
I saw another thread about custom orthotics but I don't think it is the same thing.
Can anyone recommend a good podiatrist?
Thanks

I've gone here to remove my corns/calluses that were causing me discomfort:
Home - Dr. Joseph Stern Podiatry (http://www.drjosephstern.com/)
It's located in a downtown medical building, burrard and davie ish. The staff seems pretty knowledgeable and transparent about their fees. I can't really speak for how the consultations are because I just booked a removal right away. It cost about $80, but after MSP and my health benefits I only ended up paying around $10. I'd imagine that their consultations are similarly priced.

Hi;
If you are still looking for a foot care provider in Vancouver I hope it is ok that I recommend my Wife.
She is a podologist and specializes in foot care such as what you have described for your calluses and corns; complete foot overhauls. You can find out more about her service at:
www.medipedi.ca (http://www.medipedi.ca)
She is in the Downtown Wellness Centre 1200 Burrard Street 605 and there is one of Vancouvers Top Chiropractor's who would be able to help you with Orthotics and Gait if needed.
All the Best.
i just saw Dr. Li at lansdowne, and he recommended that i go to rackets and runners on oak street to get them to fit me some running shoes for my feet. im a slight over pronator and have soreness running with my nike free runs, so he recommended 2 routes: get custom insoles from him, or check out that shoe store because they apparently are very helpful at finding you shoes for your foot type.
