hey guys, new to revscene, but thought this would be the best place to post this; i'm looking to build up my portfolio and would love to photograph your guys' cars. i'm in surrey, but am willing to travel (to a certain extent). i'll post something to give everyone an idea of what i'm about.

It's a 2011 Mazda3 with 2007 Mazdaspeed3 wheels. Like I said, not impressive, but it's a modest OEM+ upgrade from stock.

Forgot to mention, our meets at the Byrne Road Tim Hortons are starting up again, and would be a perfect opportunity to get photos of multiple cars. Keep an eye on the Unofficial Meets section for details.

He had put it into storage while he was on the run and after we got back from South America and we got him off that bus we grabed it and made our way up north of the border, that car will never die.

Or with that black fd, all i have is gopro and phone pics :( haha.. im in surrey also. only permit the car once or twice a month though.. might be on the road for 2 days this week after i get it tuned. Outsides not too special to look at but the motor is fully built / clean and interior is..err..mostly non existant with a rather ridiculous roll cage.

Not the same thing but there have been many photomeets held over the years with RS members, they're good opportunities to gain experience of shooting cars. Personally, I would be much more comfortable shooting/getting my car shot at those gatherings.

This IS the sole reason. No offence to the OP... but if it was a dude who started a thread like this, we'd still be stuck on page 1-2, and the poor guy would have been flamed like no tomorrow.

This is more of a White Knight kind of thread, with a few poor saps sprinkled in who just want pics of their car.

Would cool if one of the top dog photographers on the board, would come out to a potennial meets like this, and give the newbs some tips and pointers. I know I could use some! That would be win/win. People get pics of their cars, and newbs learn how to take the lens cap off :D

That's ok that you're not a professional. That's why I think it would be cool to have some of the more veteran photogs come out, and share some of that sweet, sweet knowledge. Not just with you, but with anyone else who might be interested.

I think people DO and WILL start taking you seriously. Just remember, a girl that has a legitimate interest in cars, enough to want to photograph them, is EXTREMELY rare. To the point where people get excited, and have no idea how to react :lol Give the site a chance :)

But they do! We had several of these meets for RSers to meet and gather and shoot cars, share tips and advice, try out equipment, etc. You just have to check the Photography subforum more often!

There's no standard day of the week for meets.

Thursday and Fridays are the most common nights, but there are meets randomly dispersed on all different nights.
