aftermarket batteries are hit and miss. i purchased from there before and the battery wasn't even an acceptable fit. luckily they were very good with returns; note that i haven't charged it at all.

Amazon.com or amazon.ca has replacement batteries stocked directly from the producer (in your case toshiba) it isn't really local persay but if it ships to your door its kind of sort of local. and you also know its quality and the correct product which I think would be a wiser choice.
