When they market this idea, they already know people were interested only for the $50 Gas Card. And let just say, 1000 people signed up, thats 50K, to Chrysler Company its nothing. Probably the same price they would have to pay for commercial on TV. But this is better way of advertise and educate about their cars and to change people image.

Drove the Challenger 3.6 cuz SRTs require a deposit. Loaded with features but the power was absent. Nothing really happens until you hit higher revs. But you can't! 5 speed with really long gearing. Not sure if srs from the dealer but they said you have to print out some code to claim the $50

He said there's 2 engines :heckno: I checked their website (Marine location) before going and there weren't any info on Fiats so I assumed that they don't have Fiats anymore. They had a Fiat sitting on the lot but I had already asked for the Charger =/ Would've been better if it was the Fiat.

Anyway, best to bring a print out so they don't have another excuse to not give you the code for the gas card and make you come back again. My email on my phone with the code was not sufficient apparently :rukidding:

Haha.. well, they actually said that Chrysler Canada never tells them about these promos, and the first time they even heard about the deal was when a guy came in yesterday and showed them the email.

The manager was really nice, he understood that we couldn't turn down a free $50 card, but that he didn't want his sales guys spending time on the test drives if I wasn't really considering a car, so he just gave the code instead.

When I did the 'test drive', the manager wrote down which car I 'drove', took my ph. number and a copy of my drivers license to cover his own butt. So I don't want to jeopardize his position by giving his dealer code, his name, or his dealerships name.. sorry

I went to Columbia Chrysler as well and actually tested the 300S. The sales Jackie was very good at explaining all the features and details of the car to me. The drive was damn smooth and was real quiet, too bad I'm not going to get one :troll:

It does make me consider a Chrysler in the future when I'm actually in the market for one though which makes this a good way of advertising.

usually takes about 6 months for them to mail the thing to you.
I did something like this last time but for Volkswagen. took them over half a year to mail me my VW branded tumbler

i think the best "test drive" promotion event that i've ever been to without any hesitance and pressure which i actually felt comfortable was last years Hyundai test drive event in coquitlam center mall lot.

less valued prize (2 free movie tix and usb hard drive) but it was awesome, no pressure, because the guys there werent sales people but were driving instructors, so basically didn't care, which definitly made it more comfortable and enjoyable

Sales guy gave me an offer for the 2012 200s, talked a bit about Hyundai comparison and how the old 90's Caravan trannys would take a dump.

Then his Manager gave him a code. Noticed his trash bin was full of those codes scribed down so i'm guessing a lot of ppl have been popping in to get the gas card.

I guess your stance is honesty is not the best policy, I find it better to be straight up with people instead of going in and saying something like "Oh yea I might buy this in the future, I'm in the market for this, that, blah blah," and get up their hope of a sale when you obviously have no intention of buying the car. I find that's 10x worse than being honest.

I drove in with my 2012 Genesis Coupe and I basically said i wanted something with more power so I wanted to drive any challenger or charger. he said quote ""do you have like 2 hours of time for the presentation?" and i just went along with it. The charger they had was apparently having a deal worked on it so he didnt let me drive it and the whole experience was kinda shitty. ended up wishing I just drove a different car like a wrangler or something haha..i even asked if i could just have the code and he said that ""any dealership who does that is probably going broke"". which i dont understand because this isnt the dealers money....

but yeah i was acting professional the entire time and even sat down and talked about looked through the car and everything for like 30 minutes.

I went to Destination Chrysler Jeep Dodge in North Vancouver and met up with a sales rep without an appointment. He greeted me and I showed the email indicating what I was there for. He then quickly asked me which car that I would like to test drive and off we went into the Challenger (I was hoping for a 300 but they don't have one on site). He was very knowledgeable and told me a lot of things about it. After the test drive, he told me he had hoped that he had convinced me into purchasing a domestic car in the near future and gave me their code.

Overall experience, I rate it a 9.

If you guys/girls want to go do this without any hassle, I recommend this place and ask for Des

Hit up carter chrysler with the gf just now. Was a short drive in the fiat 500, but we checked out the gucci and convertibles in the showroom. Not bad for paying us $50 each. Sales guy Mike was awesome, super friendly talked about all sorts of car shit and buying used vs new etc

Went to Marine location earlier today and came out with the code. Everything went better than i expected after reading some of you that got rejected or had a moody salesman.

Took the Charger out for a spin, although couldn't really test the full potential of the vehicle's power, it was an ok drive.

The salesmans' name is Gil, he's a pretty chill guy. Overall was a pleasant visit.
If anyone that i know is interested in purchasing a domestic i would send them his way.

Seeing as I used to briefly work at a dealership I found Jason pretty low key. I only got a call from Chrysler Canada. Jason emailed me the morning after I signed up but before my call from Chrysler, which I replied back telling him the vehicle I had interest in and when I plan on coming down. He simply replied back saying "great, I'm off that day but my associate Mark will be there to help you". I plan on testing the code before I leave but there's no way I will spend 2hrs going thru a presentation.

Entered code and it still worked. I am actually considering a challenger but all they had left were 6-speeds which I don't know how to drive :alone:
