: Ram timing frequency

Am I doing this correctly?
This MSI socket 775 motherboard doesn't go above 333mhz FSB. This is the highest I can get, the DRAM frequency is showing an awkward 401.4mhz number with 5:6 ratio, will it seriously affect the performance?

The rams are just some generic desktop ram.

Everything looks fine. 3.5GHz is about the best I can do at stock voltage with a wolfdale.
I generally run at 1:1 ratio on my systems. You should be able to set this in the BIOS. You will get slightly better performance running at 390 FSB and a 9 multiplier. Adding 0.1V more might get you a slightly higher speed.

I think you are CPU limited, not FSB or RAM limited.

What are your specs and what have you changed?

DDR = Double Data Rate. You have to multiply the DRAM frequency in CPU-Z by 2. Your RAM is actually running at DDR2-800 right now.
