My Shaw box recently crapped out so my 1TB drive is just sitting here. Could this work on my PC? I can't just try because it requires a SATA to SATA cable. Before i go out and buy a SATA to USB cable i'd like to know if anyone has done this and gotten it to work. Advertisement __________________ ---------

I'll try that, but for long term wouldn't the SATA to usb cable be safer?

They gave me the internal HDD box for a replacement.
