| Help with aftermarket HID errors on E90 BMW
I have a 2006 BMW 325i that had stock halogens. i replaced the housing and along with it i replaced the bulbs for Highs, lows, and fogs. I am getting the occasional error codes for the lighting and am needing someone to install the correct error cancellers. I am from south Vancouver island and thus far can't find a shop, local, that can do it. Does anyone know of any shops on the mainland that is familiar with aftermarket lighting on BMW's ?? Thanks in advance.

I did get some error cancellors that stated they changed the wattage from 50 to 35 or whatever its supposed to be to fix the correction but the error still comes up. Im surprised no one can suggest an educated shop that could take a crack at it. the dinging is becoming the bane of my existence |

I think E90 needs a relay to step up from 35w to 55w. Does all of your HID lights (low beam , high beam, fog light)has relay? Posted via RS Mobile |

no i didn't wire up the headlights any different than stock. the headlight housing had a harness plug socket just like a stock housing.
I've researched lots of BMW forums. besides people saying i need error cancellers or relays i don't really see many DIY guides or links for which cancellers will work. id prefer to just get them professionally installed anyways. i have have little time lately for a DIY so a capable experienced shop would be ideal.

Get a relay from HID outlet in Crystal Mall and install that relay in between the ballast and your headlight power socket. I did that on my friend's 323i e90 and the error code doesn't show up anymore..

awesome thankyou i will have to try that. if that works, it should fix the problem I'm having with the headlight errors but any idea on how to cancel out the adaptive headlight error from removing the stock BMW headlight housing ( the depo ones aren't adaptive).?
