Kits Marketing

Has anyone heard of this company before? I'm supposed to have a meeting tomorrow at 11, but I have no clue what I'm exactly coming in for. I just posted my resume on monster.ca and they contacted me. I tried searching for any information on this company, but nothing showed up. Seems a bit sketchy to me .

I remember seeing a posting for a job by them but I can't remember what it was about. Post back after the interview!

if you have an interview wouldn't they have given you an address of their office that you can google?

if they emailed you, didn't they have their address & website at the end of their signature?

just call back and ask for more info and more about the position. it's hard to have an interview without knowing a thing about the company and more importantly the position. that in itself sounds sketchy.

If you are going to an interview and you don't know what its about, then its crap.

My favorite was the interview, wait...group interview, so you know its a treat when they don't even want to waste time talking to you one on one for an amazeballs money making opportunity in selling unique types of air cleaners.

Turns out that unique air cleaner was attached to a very expensive, yet standard looking vacuum.

BUT..there was this old dude in a full trench with no suit which always looks weird in the interview as well and when we had to get to the "hopes and dreams" portion of the interview( I am NOT making this shit up) he actually said , "well this seems like a bit of a cash cow"

Yeah, because its 2004 and selling vacuums door to door is a revolutionary idea

Going for an interview without knowing wth the job is all about seems like a very bad start to begin with...

Personally, I wouldn't show up but thats just my standards.

Hopefully its not a pyramid company.

Oh and Primerica and primerica style companies are awesome at talking a lot but telling you absolutely nothing about the "job".

I only ever had one call from a Monster ad and after she was telling me how to dress and all that shit(which is weird) I asked her straight, "is this primerica"?

Long pause.

"Yes."

No thanks! Click.

Well, least likely is Kits Market:

Kits Market Ltd - 1575 Yew Street, VANCOUVER, BC

I somehow doubt they seek people out on Monster.

More likely...

Kits Marketing = waste of time

I got a call for an interview with the company as well, after sending them a resume upon seeing their ad on craigslist. They first called to arrange for an interview on Wednesday 10am, so I agreed. I get a call back 20minutes afterwards saying it must be postponed to Friday, which I was okay with as well. I wake up at 8am and head to downtown to the address provided, 422 Richards St near Harbour Centre. When I arrive to the location, it's in an old 3 story building, and I was directed by a lady on the main level to head upstairs to the 3rd floor to find Kits Marketing. When I reached the 3rd floor, I realize that the floor is shared amongst other companies, not just Kits Marketing itself. There was no one at the desk when I walked in, and then I see a lady come to the entrance. I tell her I have an interview with Kits Marketing, her response was "Oh, they had an emergency today, so they're gonna have to postpone the interview. Sorry."

That's bullshit, does Kits Marketing not know about calling in advance to cancel their interviews???
There's also no information online about this company, as stated by others on this thread, so beware. Here's their details through my email.

~
"422 Richards Street, Vancouver
1st Floor, Suite #170

Copy and paste the following link into your browser for a detailed map:

422 Richards Street, Vancouver, BC - Google Maps

The closest way to get there is via sky train and get off at the last stop which is Waterfront Station. When you leave Waterfront we are 2 small blocks east and 1 block south (approx 1-2min)
Parking: There is some street parking in front of the office but most likely difficult to find a spot. A block south from the office on Pender Street there is an outdoor parking lot.
.
Your interview will be with Alex or Jord.

Please bring a hard copy of your resume and dress business casual.

We look forward to meeting with you.
Sincerely,
Recruitment Specialist Team
Kits Marketing"
~

They apparently have another office in Kitsilano as well.
If anyone comes across them and they ask for an interview, don't even bother dressing up in business casual, wear your pajamas there, and I'm sure they'll still hire you.
