hey all... i got 2 shaw HD boxes..one is hooked up to the main TV in the living area..and another i JUST got to hook up to a TV in the bedroom. NOW, thing is.. the bedroom TV is connected via a 25ft coax cable.. which 'apparently' degrades the signal to the HD box and so i get that error msg:
"please wait..program will load shortly.. error code s00as"..something along that lines.. Shaw said they would send out a tech to attempt to 'boost' the signal to that line but their techs are heavily backlogged.
Soo.. is there something that can be purchased to boost the signal being sent over the cable? this line is not split at all.. it's just a long cable from outlet to HD box.
You can pick up something at Radio Shack/The source, or Home Depot. They cost about $35.

I'm using something a video amplifier from The Source and it works ok. My lower channels 2-12 were very snowy and it helped a bit

i would just wait for their techs as they will install something in the outside box to boost the signal of that particular outlet.

just get their techs in. i had that error and when the tech came he said the equipment in the outside box was old technology that degraded the signal, so he switched it to newer stuff and it fixed the problem
agreed with everyone saying to wait for the techs. I had an issue with standard cable as my downstairs box was snowy during peak hours of TV. Tech came in checked the signals, boosted it and was good to go
