2000 ZX6-R not starting

So my friends ZX6-r isn't starting.
He did buy it used just a bit over a month ago, and it ran like a champ for the past few weeks. The last owner did replace the battery. The bike as of today decided to do nothing at all when the starter button is pressed. No sound of starter motor trying to turn, however the rest of the electronics on the bike seem to all be running alright.
Any help would be appreciated.
this is his face right now :okay:

easiest and cheapest thing is check the fuses. next step, make sure the bike is in neutral, bridge the connections on the starter motor with a screw driver if you can reach it.
if it turns, your problem lies between the starter and the switch, check all wirings and possibly the starter relay. if you get nothing, it might be the starter itself.

I'll get him to try these tonight. Thanks.

as stated before, check the engine kill switch. make sure that is not in the off position.
does this bike need to have the clutch pulled in for the starter button to work?

side stand or neutral safety could have failed also.

Glad to hear the bike is now sorted out.
Tell your friend he needs to use the kill switch more often. Whomever owned the bike before him barely, if ever, used it.
