Don't need to be a fan of the sport to appreciate this clip.
My favourite snapshots from that race. On the limit doesn't even begin to describe....

Man am I ever glad I witnessed the Rossi era in MotoGP. the way he could turn it up to 11 in the last couple laps was/is unbelievable. No one can put pressure on a guy like him.

How do those dudes keep the bike on the road during the turns? Must be the weight of their balls.

What's more exciting? MotoGP or F1?

Moto GP for sure. A great rider can take a mediocre bike and win based on skills. RIP ROSSI.
Formula1 your dependent on your car's performance. Overtaking in F1 is severely lacking.
Im a fan of both either way.

I've only been on the Australian F1 race, and Australian MotoGP and i prefered the MotoGP for the experience of being there. The track is a lot more accessible to walk around, and overall more fun to watch.
The F1 race was amazing to see the technology that they have in it. The smell, heat, and sounds of the F1 cars are unreal! Couldn't believe it! Would love to see more races around the world!

Watched this live and it was nuts. Started with being an F1 fan but now enjoy motogp more. The competition is definitely tighter.
Wish he either stayed with Honda or Yamaha. Ducati just...........

Although I do miss seeing him on the podium, Rossi is one of those who enjoys the challenges. Being on a Honda is just too easy. He just needs to finds his way on the Desmo GP, work out the kinks, and somehow come back from this bad streak.

I totally got it wrong...I was thinking of Marco Simoncelli who past away earlier this year. RIP.

I watched that with the same thrill as the first time I saw it.
He had to pull in his knee to pass Lorenzo at the end of the strait.
On the program where I originally watched this they had a super slow motion close up and Rossi lost the front in that final corner, but kept it going. You can see it a bit from the overhead shot at 7:12.
Rossi was the greatest. His time seems to be over.

i was shouting at the top of my lungs at the tv screen while watching that race... it was so god damn epic.
edit: i got the full season video pass from motogp.com this year and i just watched this race again last night. palms were sweaty even though i knew the outcome lol.
here's another one from the guy who made the rossi/lorenzo video. i really like wsbk and moto2/3 because the races are more exciting to watch and it often comes down to the final few laps to decide a winner.
