Does anyone what the story is called when a guy gives this guy medicine and claim it as medicine and psychologically heals him?

Yep Pretty much everyone answered it. It is called the placebo effect.

I'm surprised people even said placebo effect.

I came in here thinking there was some specific news story/article about a fraud that you're looking for.
