I current have

Versace Man
Burberry Brit
Chanel Sport

Honestly, the only I ever use is Chanel Sport though.
I really like the Prada (clear bottle one) though. If I ever switch, that'd be the one for me.

does anyone know where i can get the best price on Chanel Blue the mid sized bottle? most places go for like $79 + taxes, and at the duty free they had it going for $90, is there anywhere i can get it for cheaper?

Bought this in a gift set with a travel bag:

Sweet smelling but wears off easily.

My other one is this, its a bit 'sharp' so I use very little of it at a time:

I just found out last year that Sephora carries mens fragrances as well as other mens grooming items. Always thought it was just another make up store for women. They also have this fragrance finder program "Scentsa" which is a wall-mounted, touch-activated screen, sort of like a fragrance GPS. Haha.

Don't use them at all (less than 10times). I don't sweat a lot so I don't use it.

Also for some reason any fragrances smells will give me a headache for some reason so I avoid it at all cost.

I used Givenchy very irresistible, summer fresh but haven't touched it since I bought it in grade ten (5 years ago). Also used Issey Miyake (The blue bottle and Intense), blue bottle shattered when it fell out from my work out bag and intense gives me headaches. Currently, I use Chanel Allure and Bleu de Chanel, Allure for special occasions and traveling and Bleu de Chanel everyday.

Maybe on Ebay, but beaware of fakes. Chanel is really strict in where their products retails, you never see Chanel products at sephora, heck they don't even sell it at sears anymore. 90$ is not bad, I've used half the bottle with 1.5 yr daily usage.

I have been testing out some new fragrances... Tried Polo Black today, but it's not really for me. It's a bit... dark... I don't know how else to put it, but while I like the scent, I don't think it suits me.

My wife tried the new Gucci Flora scents, and really liked them. Magnolia was really nice, and Gardenia was so sweet, maybe a bit over the top. Check those out if you are looking for something for the lady :)

Been looking for Creed in HK but haven't come across it... Hear nothing but good things about it, except the longevity. I just want to check it out! I guess Lane Crawford would be a good place to check? Or would you need to go even more upscale?

sonick

Creed longevity varies from scent to scent. Lighter scents like Silver Mountain Water or Himalaya have a tendency to fade more during the day.

That said, I'm about to get a big decant of Creed Aventus.

I really like Tom Ford Private Blend stuff, but its just too dark and strong for daily wear. Oud Wood, Tobacco Vanille, Tuscan Leather (which notoriously supposedly smells like cocaine).

yea it's really nice

for me, Cologne isnt about how it smells out of the bottle, it's the lingering smell it leaves on my clothes

I dont try to cover up smells etc, thats like my biggest pet peave is stank ass people, and even without any fragrances i'd still smell fine, it's about accentuating lol :fullofwin:

yeah Lane Crawford should have it (listed as an authorized dealer)

as for longevity i haven't noticed any issues although i get used to the scent and think its faded but nope still there; as Sonick said it probably depends on the scent

CK Eternity Summer 2012 is actually quite good. It is a bit 'in your face' at first, but dries down very nicely. Not a 'mature' frag whatsoever, so depends on your style.

I also really liked Police's new frag "To Be". Might pick that one up next, I really liked the bottle.

Also tried Ferrari Uomo.. now that is a more 'mature' fragrance, and would make a good night time frag in the summer. Only smelled it on the card, will try it on myself next time.

Just picked this up.. I love Cool Water, but the normal one is too bold and 80's. This one is much more tame, and dries down to a nice citrusy scent

Not surprised that Versace Eau Fraiche topped that one. It does have a good summer scent to it, but I hate the fact I know quite a few friends who wear it. Don't want to smell the same while we're out.

My other favourite on that list would by Eternity & Chrome.

Just got a sample of Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme.
I really like it. I use the regular Chanel Sport, but I always find that 1 spray is too little, but 2 is too much..so I always have to hold back on the second spray.

A single spray of the Chanel Sport Extreme is just right.

In Sorrento Italy, found a shop that sells so many high end brands for sooo much cheaper than North America. Still expensive though, but damn tempting ($140 for 50ml vs $298 at Holt) . Creed, diptytique, Bois, Tom Ford Private Label.

SkinnyPupp

sonick

Ya they are, came across several ones that have the high end fragrances in the area. Prices in canada b&m are just overpriced, online internationally you can find similar prices.

Usual wear (something I use on almost daily basis because of price+relatively neutral scent and I actually spend money on)
CK One/Be
L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme

Then the occasional ones (usually gifts. I tend to receive easily 3 bottles every birthday):
Bleu de Chanel
Davidoff Cool Water
Un Jardin Apres la Mousson by Hermes
Then a boxful of perfumes in my basement of those I simply find disgusting and I use them as deodorant throughout the house

Nice man, wish I could afford to spend that much on a bottle of fragrance :ahwow:

I normally hate spending $ on myself and take forever to make a decision by the time I decide the stuff I want is either sold out or on sale so it kind of works out :D

but with a bottle of cologne I usually divide the price by a year or two (since thats how long it lasts) and im like "hey thats not bad" :)

you might like this its from the 70s,80s died out in the 90s

Givenchy Gentleman
http://www.allaboutperfumes.com/images/GIVENCHY_GENTLEMAN.jpg

Its what my dad uses, Givenchy doesn't make it anymore but you can still find the odd bottle on ebay from collectors/shops that stored some bottles away for a rainy day

you can also find a lot of imitation/counterfeit bottles (i think they're simply licensed and not actually counterfeit) that don't smell as strong as the original but its close

In the original there's a strong smell of cat piss (civet) later bottles and the subsequent not from Givenchy bottles cut the Civet down or out entirely though

smells great imo but hard to find and if i find any it goes to my dad ;)

Top Notes
Tarragon, Cinnamon.

Middle Notes
Patchouli, Vetiver

Base Notes
Civet, Russian Leather

Or for something current that is close to Gentleman you can get Bond no. 9 H.O.T. but the Civet is nixed

fyi rumour has it that it seems that Creed is going to be raising their prices, apparently it's going to be soon. August 1st seems to be the day, and the rumored price increase is rather drastic. Currently 4oz bottles direct from Creef cost ~$285, with the new price being $320 so an increase of $35.

Digging through a pile of samples, I came across a bottle of creed sample for like $1. Women's fragrance though

I did buy some original Diesel (like just called DIESEL) which hasn't been made in a long time. Nice winter frag, reminds me a bit of CK Obsession

Tried Aqua di Gio ESSENZA yesterday. Smells SO much better than regular Gio. It's like an "adult" version of that overly popular fragrance. It is a parfum, so a lot stronger and longer lasting too. I can actually still smell it on me the next day. Has a nice bottle too, with a magnetic cap. Expensive though for a fragrance that is still quite familiar.

ive been more into fragrances lately. got a sample pack from shoppers, it includes 8 samples for $75, a voucher for a full size of any of the 8, and $10 gc for shoppers. smoking deal!

i chose YSL l'homme as my full size, not regretting that.
others in my growing collection are: la nuit de l'homme, body kouros, individuel, a*men, cool water, and a few others that arent that special.

in the sample pack one of the scents was paco rabanne 1 mil, and i have to say its really juvenille. i cant think of a sitution where i'd want to smell like that, even if the LGs supposedly love it, it smells like bubble gum. eventually it dries down and smells lightly fruity, but thats after about 3-4 hours. no way i can pull that scent off. i guess i can see why its popular with the under 20 crowd but if you're anywhere close to 25 or older you shouldnt be wearing that.

i bought 2 sleeper scents today:

the body shop - activist
great every day scent. can probably be worn all seasons and it was only $28 for 100ml, and they had a sale as well. really good casual scent that you wont feel stingy about using every day.

l'occitane - eau de bavx
nice vanilla fragrance, more of a fall/winter scent and more of a dressier scent but intoxicating.

not sure, but it was a spin the wheel type of discount.
i got $10 off every $30, so i bought activist for $28 and bought a loofah for $3 to take advantage of the discount.
there was also $20 off $40 i think, and some 50% ones as well.
