I've met Joey once through a friend. Such a shame that the bike is stolen.

I hope it gets found soon; I'll be on the lookout for it.

steering lock & immobilizer, but they probably trailer'd it out of there, acting as towing people.

I was surprised how relatively simple it was to break off a steering lock.
It's just a metal nub and with a bit of a torque it just snaps off if you use enough force to jerk the handlebars :heckno:

disc locks on the other hand work wonders, but there's no guarantee it won't get carried away sigh..
still a good deterrent nonetheless

does bayside have any connects to chop shops that might be able to help be aware?

Sorry for your loss, it seems that bikes get stolen so often and easily.

Might I suggest next time get a Compustar Drone with a Digital Tilt Sensor. No Remotes, it connects directly to your smart phone and as soon as its triggered (moved, tilted) it will alert you on your phone and you can live GPS Track it from your phone. Its small to install as well and has built in back up battery.

Yearly subscription with unlimited Tracking is only $9.99 a month

Do 2-ways work well from undergrounds anyways? They are pointless these days, honestly GPS tracking is the only way to go.

Compustar Drone is GPS/Cellular tracking. 2 Ways only work when you are close enough to the vehicle/bike/etc.

So say they did steal it from underground, when it appears above ground you can track it. As well you can turn on Geofencing so when it leaves from the perimeter it will alert you immediately.

thx but no unfortunately those were all planned to be installed in the near future but becuz of my tight budget i wasn't even able to afford buying theft insurance yet so that's why i'm royally screwed of a nice bike n 3 more years of financing... FML

Dood you didn't have theft? I'm not gonna take any digs at you but seriously c'mon people use your brains. Tight budget? So it's more important to you to eat out or drive around and burn up gas but not put theft on something that is relatively easily stolen? That's almost as bad as putting temp insurance on your project car that just got finished and not getting the collision coverage on it. That's a dig at another member :troll:

I feel bad for you losing your bike but I have no sympathy for your lack of coverage bro. Hopefully they find it.

Berz out.

Spugen story #2? Temp insurance without collision, sighing for car damage payments? :troll:

I would buy all the insurance there is... If I had a hot bike like that.

How is he going to get screwed by ICBC? he screwed himself by not having theft coverage and that's what ICBC will telll him.ICBC is not always out to screw people over.

If I was in a situation where I could not afford theft coverage for my bike,I would just save up another month or make some sacrifices for the money, shit I would borrow the money from a friend if I had too.

I spent a mega shit ton of money on my bike, the fuck if I would ever ride it without full coverage.

Trust me, my life has had it's fair share of shit thrown on it. Which this theft pails in comparison.

I'm not trying to shit on your thread. I didn't mean to sound self righteous or anything.

And I seriously doubt the transmitter would have been purchased from your next pay cheque.. One would think the theft insurance would be of higher priority.

Guy gets his bike stolen, realizes his mistakes and has the rest of the world come down on him for that. If that's not kicking someone when they're down, I don't know what is.

Like everyone, we've all made mistakes and then immediate realization that you should've done this or that, the worst is when some cunty guy comes in and points out the obvious.

btw beacon IS private insurance FYI

no i dun mind u tellin me what i alrdy know, jus that i got trolled twice today at work only to be trolled once more to see this BS

oh n Berz, ur never Berz out really, becuz u jus sit behind ur computer n go to shit on other ppl's threads, so u failing me doesn't mean ur e-peen will grow

i was pissed becuz there's many other things besides my bike missing being a problem in life, trust me, my bike was basically the best thing going in my life to lift me away from job/financial problems, we have a group of usually 4-15 bikes that come out to enjoy spirited rides n that was my stress reliever... besides all the awesome friends that hv given me so much mental support thru this week :fullofwin:

did u know that was also the same day my Grandma passed away 2 years ago?
did u know that bike has kept the rubber side down thru Cali road trips and back and many rides where even though i was sliding it pulled through?

i'm not raging as i type this becuz i pity ppl like you that can only see as far as where your dick reaches, no offence to others that may have suggested i buy insurance, it's obvious, n after parking for more than a year w/ FULL FULL coverage at metrotown n nothing happened i guess i put too much trust in Vancouverites n it was stupid, anything else?

:accepted:
