The only thing I can say I didn't like was the small "bullet time" moment. I hope it doesn't play too heavily into the game. Otherwise, I loved it. Lighting, model motion, seemlessness from gameplay to "cutscenes." I think anyone who has one should just cancel their GTA5 pre-orders.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has confirmed in an interview with GTTV that Watch Dogs will be released on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Guillemot gave the confirmation after questions arose concerning whether the game would be released on current or next generation consoles.

Although the executive confirmed a release on PS3 and Xbox 360, he did not rule out a next generation release.

“We’ll see,” he said when asked about a PS4/Xbox 720 version.

Guillemot also confirmed that the footage we saw last night was from a high-end PC.

No release date was given for a Watch Dogs launch, a game being developed by Ubisoft Montreal.

If both Sony and MS announce new consoles, it could be out for that instead. Unreal Engine 3 is extremely scaleable, and will have DX11 features that will allow games to make use of the new consoles.

I was wrong though, it isn't UE3, it is Ubi's own (new) engine.

Since they aren't showing it at all on current consoles, it is still possible that it is built grounds-up to be a next gen title. However, officially, it's going to be released on 360 and PS3... Just don't expect it to look anything like the demo

I'm not too disappointed or shocked, because I am realistic about the capabilities of modern consoles. Especially in an open world game, it would have been impossible to keep the game looking like it did in the reveal. It is possible on PC, but so is pretty much anything if you throw enough hardware at it.

No way, all of them (or at least most).. The first I can remember is MGS1. Also compare the GTA V screenshots everyone was drooling over to the actual game, for another recent example

That would have been a dev kit (AKA a PC...)

Remember that the CPU in the PS4 and Xbox One is actually very weak. It's essentially a tablet CPU, but with 8 cores instead of 4. Also the GPU power isn't significantly high... Along the lines of a $150 GPU, IIRC?

This is much better than the Xbox 360 and especially the PS3, but don't expect too much, IMO. You will only end up being disappointed.

Haven't finished act 1 yet but still enjoying it! Graphics are phenomenal but vehicle handling is a lot like sleeping dogs/saints row. The hack thing is also pretty cool as each citizen basically has a randomly generated "interest". Saw a guy and it said " dolphin killer" :lawl:

^ well like SpeedStars said, there's lots of "interesting people" roaming the streets, and you can literally spy into their lives but those are all pretty much side quests... theres so much stuff to do overall just looking through the map all the icons and im only 2 hours into the game.... They added these acid trip shorts where you go to a drug dealer and pop an acid pill and supposedly have a crazy trip, and it's just crazy shit like roaming around the city with a mechanical spider with guns shootin shit up.... I did one where I just drove a car from hell and ran down cops who had Ghostrider flaming skulls.... game has a lot of stuff to do bottom line, but it doesn't appeal to me because I'm a realism simpleton, I mean I'm still waiting on a new gen RPG without any fckin magic and sorcerers and elves and orcs, lol

This is normal for pre-orders especially via FS and BB. I've been pre-ordering for years and they always send shipping notification the day prior. Then on the day of it ships in the morning and arrives shortly there after considering the warehouse is just in Richmond.

damn.... these new AMD drivers released today didn't do shit, actually made my FPS worse, I was better off with old driver and crossfire disabled, then the lowest I touch is 40fps no matter what I'm doing, now with new drivers and Crossfire enabled standing in one spot not moving is fine, but soon as I start running and even worse when I drive a car drops down to 30fps with major stuttering and it stays there while I'm driving.... when I get out the car stand for a few seconds FPS pops back up to over a 100fps

so game got delayed 6 months still unfinished I guess... I had performance issues with AC Black Flag as well, I'm not surprised at Ubisoft

IM IN LOVE WITH THIS GAME! I GOT SO SIDE TRACKED ON A SIDE MISSION LOL. The side missions can take up to an hour long each, which I love! So much gameplay and thought went into this game its unreal. I don't know, to me the game is not about the "car effects". I find it more playable than GTAV personally. I got bored of GTA games really fast, anything after GTA Vice City, just seemed like too much effort even though I have all of them. There's a lot of stuff to do, but it doesn't really add to the storyline I felt. It's just random.

So far everything in this game, all side jobs and missions seem relevant to the main story line. I'm not much of a graphics junkie, I play games more for the storyline and length than anything. This seems to fit the bill.

The true next gen graphics games won't really start to come out until $200 GPUs are as powerful as current $1000 models. And then it will only happen on PC... PS4 and XBOne are only going to look as good as current games, except first party titles that start to take shortcuts (lower res upscaled, 30 FPS lock, etc).

Yea at first I thought it was just just a filter, and I thought oh well whatever you can just use SweetFX to replicate it.. but watching it it's much more than a filter, look at the extra smoke effects, look at how realistic the rain looks, shading, etc.... that original footage it really DID look like a true next gen game, if I was any interested in this game I'd be pretty bummed out

Titanfall was also marketed as next gen gaming and I was disappointed by that game. I like this game a lot better though.

The PS4 graphics are pretty great! I think the PC version was just not up to par with what PC gamers are used to. The PC version from what I've seen does look a lot worse right now graphically than the PS4 version though.

PC gamer has a $10, 000 PC with 4 Titans, etc.... and even they get around 30fps while driving around and thats only in 1080p....

they're supposedly releasing a patch to fix shit soon, so see how that works out....

The only thing I hate is that for completion you need to do things like...play chess...and space invaders...

And the online portion of it looks hastily thrown in at the end, and imo, unnecessary.

Overall still a very good game though.
