Need a new phone WITH a keyboard/Android that ISNT slow. (droid4?)

Hello, I need some suggestions as to what phone i should get now or within the year.
I need:
► A keyboard
► near best speed possible

Optional but highly wanted:
►GPS Navigation that isn't dependent of a data plan.

I am not limited to the few phones that can be had in Canada.
I saw a bit about the Droid 4, It looks like it fits all my needs for the most part, but i am unclear:
► can get it to work with one of our local providers(unlocked/fully functional)?

If the droid 4 proves to not be a good/possible option:
►What are some of the other best keyboard phones out there with android?

Droid4 is your best bet, but id stay away. Galaxy S Slide is OKAY... Tbh, most keyboards suck nowadays in smartphones unless its a berry. if you are coming from a berry, give the full touchscreen a try

GPS navi is going to be dependent on data because of the tech in cellular GPS called aGPS. Wait till new google maps to release(next few days...it is rumored) as it will allow u to cache city maps, but it could be ICS only

Honestly I use to think I could never use a phone without a keyboard, but I type just as fast on a virtual keyboard as a physical keyboard.

^ some people prefer not to scarfice the screen space when chatting online. Quite a few people I know keep the N97 because of this.
