the spy shot actually looks like the enzo, perhaps its the enzoish shell and the chasis, engine, suspension and what not is the prototype of the new enzo, for strictly test driving purposes

I'm aware it wasn't a direct replacement and there was a gap between, but they seem to follow the same lineage of the v12 rear engined f1 inspired cars that were in the ferarri lineup. They all very much filled the same spot, maybe not officially.

Naw this car is totally different to the 458 or any other road going car except for maybe the p1 of course. As long as Ferrari did not make it look ugly which they can be good at - but in this case it looks just fine, this car is all about its capabilities. Active aero under the nose of the car and at the diffuser. This thing was designed in a wind tunnel and uses the same batteries for HY-KERS their F1 cars use.

Cant wait for all the good motoring shows to get their hands on this and the P1. I am going to put a dollar on the P1 being faster but it is going to good!

The 918 has nothing on the P1 and the Ferrari. It weighs more than both of those and makes less power. Altho Ferrari didn't say exact numbers (I'm guessing slightly heavier than the Enzo) I'm sure it will be less than the 918 significantly.
