Hi Guys,

I am looking to purchase either a CPO 2008 or 2009 335i or 328i. I was wondering if there is any room for negotiation on BMW CPO cars? I went to BMW langey, the BMW store, and Park Shore BMW and they all said that they wouldn't budge on price. Has anyone purchased a CPO recently and negotiated a good price? If you did which dealer did you get the deal from?

Also, does anyone know why BMW langley charges $499 for Wheel Locks/ theft registration, $495 for Lease/finance fee, and $295 for Documentation whereas BMW store and Park Shore only charge an admin fee of $295, Lease Finance fee of $300 and no Wheel Locks/ theft registration fee.

I don't think BMW negotiates price on anything, except for maybe the non CPO pre owned cars. My dad made offers at a couple dealerships and they wouldn't even consider the offers ( they weren't low ball offers either)

It all depends who you know.

I can get you a discount but only if your buying now and not later.

afaik, autowest negotiates, not so sure about the other dealerships.

It depends on the model. If you're looking at say a $80,000 used BMW, yes they'll give you a pretty hefty discount because it's tougher to move higher priced cars plus they have more room to juggle the numbers but on a 3 series it'll be tough because they sell most 3 series models without giving discounts and the profit margin is slimmer. And I've never heard "Wheel Locks/ theft registration fee".

yea i have never heard of that wheel lock theft charge, you can probably opt out of that one. The document fees are different depending on which dealer you go to. I went to BJ and they were very firm on the no negotiation pricing, so i went to autowest and they did negotiate the price so i just bought my 3 there.

nope, no room on moving on pricing.. very unlikely...

unless per say, something hard to sell/ expensive: alpina B7, M5, M6 etc.

I bought a 2010 CPO and was able to negotiate price at the BMW store on Burrard. There's definitely room to talk!

if you aren't in a rush to buy, wait til oct/nov time when new 2013 model arrives and they will have price reductions if not good incentives to get rid of old stock to have more room for newer models

for negotiating for price for used cars, there is always a way to bargin but you have to be patient

there is room for negotiation if you are trading in. mainly your trade in value..

Got my CPO 328 coupe at bmw store 1k off price tag and waved some finance fees. Not much wiggle

It depends on how much they spent on the car already like for example new tires, service, body work for dings, minor scuffs, curbed wheels after they buy it in. If they spent too much on the car then they definitely won't budge. Sometimes they won't even order touch up paint for the car because they're not making any money for it lol
