surprised airline pilots make that way, considering there was controversey over how extremely low paid they are in the u.s, according to that michael moore movie. I remember the pilots for the really really shitty airlines got like 30k/year...

also cibc head is not on there :-D

I know quite a few RCMP officers, some for over 20 years and have never fired their weapon (?"constant life-death decisions") none of which make such a low income.

I actually agree that a firefighter has an extremely stressful job but again, none make such little pay that I know...but along that same line, a paramedic would be up there as well.

How come no medical field professions are in the most stressful jobs list? You'd think a surgeon working in the emergency room would be in there.

Agreed, if it was top 20 then it's likely. I mean you deal with tight time restrictions, pressure to upsell, work quality needing to be top notch, communication breakdowns with the front end, and especially in the case of flat rate, fighting for jobs that actually pay.

They practice enough when they get to what they do, it's like they're on autopilot.

No engineering positions either? This list is full of shit and is just a subjective opinion on one person.

Electrical Technician is one of the least stressful jobs? C'mon, working at McDonalds is not stressful, NOT Electrical Technician

Not emergency medicine.

Edit: I fail to see how a Taxi Driver is a stressful job. It is not any more stressful that working at a convenience store.

The stress lists are all subjective.. how can you measure them?
Other than the obvious relative extremes.. Like a CEO vs a hair stylist..

Yeah, that low stress article read like it was all opinion. There wasn't any sort of metric, other than money earned, measured.

stress is very subjective...

I find any job that has to deal with clients stressful, which is why I'm not in a career/position that will ever have to deal with clients. lol

taxi drivers are STRESSED man

they have to deal with: abusive customers, drunks, people who just walk off without paying cab fare (they can literally do nothing about this), other taxi companies picking up customers on their turf, rushing to places when dispatch calls only to have the customer already picked up, extreme heat (they turn off the car when waiting to save gas), etc etc.

1. Soldier. Annual income: $35,580

^ I thought soldiers make much more than that when they are sent to war. Didn't those US soldiers get $20,000 per month staying in Iraq?

Maybe they meant an enlistment bonus. It's only a 1-time shot though. From the same site:

ENLISTMENT BONUS

ACTIVE DUTY ENLISTMENT BONUS
Qualified active duty recruits may be eligible for a combination of bonuses up to $40,000.
